Professional level employment opportunities:

Positions may be available:

Qualified Support Professional (QSP) and Home Manager-- Manage a customer caseload or manage a group home for adults with developmental disabilities


New position available:

Behavior Analyst, part time


- Provide behavior analysis services to CILA and ICILA clients

- Ability to bill Medicaid

- Work in collaboration with Director of Quality Assurances to support implementation

- Follow best practice models for implementing positive behavioral interventions and model and train agency staff and volunteers

- Regularly visit all clients, write accurate clinical notes, collect and monitor BSP tracking data and respond and revise plans as appropriate

- Ensure compliance with state regulations and guidelines


- Degree, preferably a Master's, in psychology or human services field required

- BCBA, Behavioral Therapist or BCaBA

- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities

- Experience supporting individuals with significant physical and mental health challenges required

- Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy of person-centered services and positive behavior supports for people with developmental disabilities

Entry-level employment opportunities:

Positions may be available:

  • Full and Part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP)--Support adults with developmental disabilities in our group homes
  • Part-time Personal Support Worker (PSW)/Respite Worker--Support a child or adult at the family's home, one-on-one

All Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Personal Support Worker (PSW) positions require an individual to meet the following qualifications:

  • 18 years old
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift/transfer
  • Ability to pass the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Completion of a physical exam and TB test within 14 days of hire
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Positions are available in a variety of settings and during a variety of shifts (days, evenings, overnights, weekends)

Orchard Village to Induct Four Individuals into New "Hall of Fame" at May 9, 2015 "Blossom Gala"

Orchard Village has a long and distinguished history...let's celebrate it! The Hall of Fame will annually recognize individuals present and past who have distinguished themselves by providing the agency with extraordinary and exemplary leadership, dedication, advocacy and support. The initial honorees include Donna Pleason, Donald Bielinski, Robert Thrush and Bernard Saltzberg (dec.). Congratulations!

Honorees will be recognized at the 28th Annual "Blossom Gala," our signature fundraising event, set for Saturday, May 9, 2015 at The Drake Hotel in Chicago. A permanent wall display will be created in the organization's primary administrative building. Learn more about the "Blossom Gala" here.

Orchard Academy Featured on FOX 32 "News at Nine"

It provides an informative look at the therapeutic and transition services provided by the Academy to young adults 17 thru 21  with disabilities and diverse learning styles.
